Dressing your baby for spring

August 28th, 2013

Now that spring is right around the corner, it's time for you to rethink your child's wardrobe. Once the weather starts to warm up enough, you will no longer need to bundle them up in layers of hats, coats, socks and gloves – which, come dressing time in the morning, you'll be most thankful for!

However, it's important to remember that in spring, you may end up with a congested baby due to the increase in pollen and allergens that are around. If your child is sensitive to these, they may experience discomfort when they come into contact with things like grass and flowers or spend time outside.

For that reason, you may want to make sure that, if allergies flare up throughout the spring, you keep your baby covered up in long sleeves so there is less scope for them to touch these irritating things.

Yet don't forget that if your infant is experiencing the discomfort of congestion, you can use baby saline solution to relieve them of their symptoms and ease their distress.

And while it may be getting warm, remember to still always keep a coat on hand just in case, as you never know when the temperature may fall on a particular day or time.
